MHT CET Counseling Process 2026 — Step by Step Guide

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, conducts the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for engineering admissions in the state. Navigating CAP rounds can be confusing, but this step-by-step guide will simplify the MHT CET 2026 counseling process for you.

Step 1: Online Registration & Document Verification

After the results are declared, candidates must register on the official CAP portal. You will need to upload scanned copies of documents like your 10th and 12th mark sheets, CET scorecard, Domicile certificate, and category certificates (if applicable). An e-Scrutiny process verifies these documents online.

Step 2: Display of Merit List

A provisional merit list is published first. Candidates have a few days to raise grievances if they find discrepancies in their details. Following this, the Final Merit List is released, detailing your State General Merit Rank.

Step 3: Option Form Filling (Choice Filling)
